I cannot upload or view an attachment

Check project role, storage allowance, and the supported signed-media access path.

Attachment upload requires an active project role: owner, admin, or member. Guests cannot upload. Ask an owner or admin to review membership if the control is unavailable.

Project storage is measured against the project owner’s allowance. If the allowance is reached, free space or review the current plan in Billing before trying again.

Inline media for tasks, comments, and notes is delivered through signed URLs. If a copied old URL fails, reopen the content through Taskavel rather than assuming the raw URL is a permanent public file link.

Diagnostic sequence

Confirm that you are an owner, admin, or member of the task’s project. Then check the file and project context: the server validates uploads and project storage is measured against the project owner’s allowance. If a file was previously visible but a copied link no longer works, return to the task, comment, or note where it was attached and use the signed access path from the application.

If storage is the issue, an owner should review the current plan and existing media. Do not remove files that belong to another task merely to make space without checking the project team.
