Browser notifications are not arriving

Check both Taskavel preferences and the browser permission that delivers push notifications.

  1. Open Account Settings → Notifications and confirm browser notifications are enabled for your account.
  2. Check the browser’s site permission for Taskavel. A browser can block notification permission even when the application setting is enabled.
  3. Check the operating-system notification settings if the browser is allowed but alerts are still suppressed.
  4. Re-subscribe in Taskavel after correcting a blocked browser permission.

In-app notifications and email preferences are separate settings. A missing browser alert does not prove the underlying event was not recorded in the notification area.

Diagnostic sequence

Open the in-app notification area first. If the event appears there, Taskavel recorded it and the problem is confined to browser delivery. Check Account Settings → Notifications, then the browser’s site permission for Taskavel, and finally operating-system notification suppression. Re-subscribe after correcting a previously blocked permission.

If the event is not in the notification area, inspect the task or project activity instead. Email preference changes and unsubscribe links affect email groups, not browser permission.
