Invite people per project
Open the project team or member settings and invite an email address with an admin, member, or guest role. Invitations are signed links. Owners and admins can resend or cancel outstanding invitations and update member roles.
Choose roles deliberately
Owners and admins manage project structure and members. Members create and update project work, including tasks, boards-related work, notes, milestones, and comments. Guests can view project content but cannot make changes. The owner cannot be removed from the project.
Discuss work where it lives
Use task comments for decisions and updates. Replies identify the specific comment being answered. Watch a task when you need updates without changing its assignees; watching is available to every project role, including guests.
Review project activity
Use the project activity page to understand recent task and collaboration changes. Keep durable decisions in a task or note rather than relying on notification history.
A practical collaboration sequence
Start by inviting people to the one project they need, not to every project. Choose guest for view-only access, member for active work, and admin when the person must manage members or structure. An owner or admin can change a role later, resend an invitation, or cancel it before acceptance. The project owner cannot be removed.
Use task comments when the update belongs to a specific task, and replies when it refers to an existing comment. Watching is useful for stakeholders who need updates without assignment; it does not grant write permission. Use project notes for material that applies to a project but does not belong to a single task.
