Create a task in its project
Create a task from a board or task workflow, then give it a clear name and description. Select the board and column where it belongs. Add assignees only from people who belong to the same project.
Add planning details
Use a due date, priority, tags, milestone, and rich-text description to make the work understandable without a separate brief. A task can have multiple assignees. Move it between columns as its status changes.
Complete work without hiding blockers
Before completing a task, Taskavel validates incomplete subtasks, checklist items, and blocking dependencies. Resolve or update those relationships first, then complete the task.
Archive before permanent deletion
Archiving removes a task from active boards but preserves it for restoration. The archived-task area supports restore and a separate permanent-destroy action. Treat permanent destruction as irreversible; it is deliberately not the same as archiving.
Before assigning or completing
The task must be in a project and board that the assignee can access. Owners, admins, and members can create and update active project tasks; guests cannot. If a person cannot be selected, inspect project membership and the invitation state instead of trying to assign across projects.
Use a simple operating sequence: create the task in the planning column, add known details, assign it, then move it as its state changes. Add comments for decisions, dependencies for hard blockers, and a milestone for a deadline grouping. Archive obsolete work rather than leaving it indefinitely on a board.
