Generate a project plan
Open the AI project generation flow to describe a project, start generation, review the result, and confirm it before the application creates the project structure. The workflow exposes a job status page rather than silently creating work.
Control suggestions
Taskavel has a user-level opt-in for AI task suggestions and a refresh action for My Day. Project AI settings are separate: only the project owner can manage whether that project’s data may be used for team AI features.
Review credits
Open Account Settings → AI Credits to see the balance, credit packages, purchase flow, and usage. Credits are recorded as AI usage. Before purchasing or enabling a feature, use the current UI’s price and availability rather than assuming a fixed amount from this documentation.
Credits are personal by default. Every account has its own balance, and each AI action is charged to the account that triggered it — including suggestions on a project someone else owns.
A project owner can change that for one project with I cover AI credits for this project, next to the AI data setting. Leave it off among partners, where each person paying for themselves is usually what you want. Turn it on when the project belongs to a company that should not be asking people to fund a work tool from a personal balance: refreshes on that project then come out of the owner’s balance, up to a fixed number per member per day. My Day always spends each member’s own credits, whichever way the setting is left, because it draws on every project they belong to and has no single owner to bill.
If the owner covers the project and their balance runs out, members are not charged behind their back. The widget says so and offers two ways forward: notify the owner to top up, or spend your own credits for that one refresh.
Know what the project setting covers
The project AI setting governs team AI suggestions built from that project’s tasks. Other features reach an AI provider through their own paths and do not consult it: AI-generated project reports and release notes send the selected column’s task names, descriptions, and tags, and any MCP client a member connects reads the project data their own role already allows. Turning the project setting off also stops team suggestions entirely for everyone on that project, not only for members who would rather keep their data out.
Use the control that matches the feature
Project generation is staged: describe the project, start a job, review its status and generated plan, then confirm before it creates the structure. Treat confirmation as the write step. Task suggestions use a personal opt-in and explicit refresh actions; a refresh clears the relevant suggestion cache so the next load can produce a fresh result.
Project-level AI is different from personal suggestions. Only the project owner can manage the setting that permits team AI features to use that project’s data. If a suggestion is unavailable, check personal opt-in, project owner configuration, and current credits in that order. The credits page records usage and exposes the current purchase workflow.
