Manage in-app, email, and browser notifications

Control notification channels and distinguish account preferences from browser permission.

Read and manage in-app notifications

The notification area lists application notifications and supports read, unread, and bulk actions. Use it as the record of events delivered to your account.

Configure account preferences

Open Account Settings → Notifications for browser-notification settings and Account Settings → Email Preferences for email groups. Email unsubscribe links support category-specific preferences.

Grant browser permission separately

Browser notifications also require the browser’s permission prompt. If Taskavel is enabled in your settings but the browser blocks notifications, allow them in the browser or operating-system notification settings and then subscribe again in Taskavel.

Diagnose the channel, not just the event

First open the in-app notification area: it tells you whether Taskavel recorded a delivery for the account. Then check the separate channel that is missing. Email groups are managed in Email Preferences; browser delivery is managed in Notifications plus the browser’s own site permission. An unsubscribe link can apply to an email group without changing in-app or browser delivery.

Do not rely on a browser alert as the only record of a task change. Read task activity, comments, and the notification area when the timing of a change matters.
